Fear is paralizing

You hear voices in your head –

Ever tantalizing –

They urge you

To stay still – And say

It’s urgent that you obey

But these voices –

They’re trying to trick you

Your mind plays tricks on you

Tricks that cut you anew

And make you numb –

Under the enemy’s thumb –

Gathering every crumb

Of courage you can find

To battle the demons

In your mind
